AMPHIBIOUS EXCAVATOR
Our amphibious excavator can operate in extremely boggy conditions where conventional excavators cannot operate effectively. The machine was acquired specifically to increase our capability to operate on very soft ground and in water up to 1.55 metres deep. It is fitted with a long-reach boom and stick, providing a combined length of 12–14 metres.
In addition to working on ponds, dams and salt lakes, they can be used for:
Cleaning out slime ponds
Removal of drainage silt from flood or storm events
Dredging and general marina maintenance
Tailings management
Establishment of diversion channels and Water Storage Facilities in very
wet boggy areas.
RAPID offer this specialised equipment for hire on a long and short term basis.
