Rapid Crushing provides a full range of crushing, screening and conveying equipment to the civil contracting, construction, mining and resource industries, either under contract or hire.
Modular crushers on wheels and bases are less mobile and cranes or trucks are required to relocate them. Modular plants are electrically powered by their own generating sets and are generally more reliable than track mounted counterparts. As these plants are normally manufactured in Rapids workshop they are constructed to withstand Australia's harsh conditions.
Modular plants usually take more time to set up on site and to de-mobilise. But this extra set up cost can be more than offset over time cost efficiencies - higher volume of tonnes crushed at a reduced operating cost per tonne.
In Rapids experience modular plants are usually the better solution for project outcomes above 50,000 tonnes and when relocation is not required.
